Great host, prompt communication. Big enough for our group of 7 people but if you really needed you could fit a few more people. Very quiet neighborhood, 2min walk to the metro station。Two thumbs up!

The Samurai house was a perfect stay while we were in Tokyo. There are lots of restaurants in the local area and the host gave us his recommendations of the best ones. The house was very clean and was filled with amenities for us to use like tea coffee and bathroom supplies. This house also has a washing machine and clothes dryer (uncommon for Japan) which was very convenient for us. The host met us and explained the house rules and helped us get our bags inside. That was a great help as we had a lot of luggage. We hope to come and stay at this house again in the future!

Great spot for exploring Tokyo! We spent our first 3 nights in Japan at the Pencil house and it worked out great for us. We have two small children, and my wife’s adult brother was traveling with us. The house is compact but there was plenty of room for us, and the location in Shinjuku was close enough to the major stations to get around easily but far enough away to be quiet.

Great location, the house had everything we needed and The host was very helpful with everything. Love to come back and stay here again. It’s so close to Shinjuku and lots of good shopping and excellent restaurants. The host went above and beyond to make our stay the best we have had in a long time!!

We had a fantastic time at the Pencil House. Location, location, location! It was a huge property with everything we could possibly ask for. Washing machine, heating, fantastic kitchen facilities. We enjoyed the coffee and tea provided! Plenty of beds and room for the 5 of us. The 7/11 store around the corner was fantastic and we got a lot of our supplies from there. An easy walk to Shinjuku, another easy walk to Yoyogi park passing the horse stables on the way to Meiji Shrine into Harajuku. We walked everywhere easily. It’s a superbly modern home with all the mod cons. We loved our time at this house. Communicating with the owners was seamless and they were more than happy to answer any of our questions. Fantastic.
